AccuNurse Technical Consultant

The AccuNurse Technical Consultant/Systems Installer position is responsible for providing post-sales technical services and support for our customers. This will be a hands-on position that will be the interface between our customers and our company. The position is responsible for reviewing customer requirements advising on hardware/software configuration, advising on network infrastructure deployments, as well as providing on-site support, installation, upgrades and training.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Provide on-site installation and configuration of the AccuNurse system.
* Provide on-site customer training and coaching in conjunction with Customer Relationship Managers.
* Provide installation, configuration, and training of clinical and nurse call AccuNurse interfaces.
* Technical lead for IT requirements during the pre-sales process.
* Be the customer's advocate in the evaluation and qualification of new hardware and software solutions
* Lead the design of the wireless network and manage the vendor activity for installation and support.
* Collaborate with customer IT departments to deploy system upgrades to the AccuNurse.
* Work closely with Support and Engineering to ensure all customer issues are resolved to the customers' satisfaction is a timely and efficient manner.
* Participate in rotating on-call support in order to provide 24x7 technical support.
* Travel 60% - 80%.

Requirements:

* Bachelors in Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
* Minimum 4 years hands-on technical experience where knowledge of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, Telnet, routing, and client/server computing).
* Minimum 4 years providing customer-facing support (e.g. in-person as well as remote).
* Intermediate knowledge of operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows, Solaris, Linux).
* Intermediate knowledge of relational databases (e.g. MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
* In-depth understanding of Internet application technologies including: HTML, XML, and Internet application architectures based upon Java technology.
* Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
* A motivated self-starter with an ability to work unsupervised.
